When beginning your next journey, we often ask, "Where to start?"

This question is true in so many aspects of life. At NorthStar Trips and Travel, we have been so fortunate in being able to experience travel from the traveler aspect and from the travel agency aspect. We are just beginning to expand our horizons again by launching our blog series. We plan on posting new blogs routinely and providing you with any experiences, insights, tips, and general information we can. We will never claim to be the all knowing or the best blog out there; however, we will provide as much information and as accurate as possible. We will even provide links to other blogs and resources available. We hope you find it useful in your travel adventures.

“Where to start?” This is a question we are often asked. When thinking of your next adventure, the choices are unlimited. We have so many suggestions; however, we want this to be your adventure, not ours. The main questions to ask yourself are;

  • Do I want to travel, vacation, or both?
  • Do I want beach, jungle, city, etc.?
  • Single traveler, couple, family, or group?
  • What is my budget?

Once you have these basic criteria, you will have a head start on your adventure. It is also important to remember that this is one journey of many. Don’t try to do everything you have always wanted to do in one trip. As satisfying as this sounds, it becomes a chore instead of fun.  Remember, the journey is as important as the destination.

I have seen where individuals and families make a list of all the traveling and vacations they want to go on and start checking them off one-by-one. There is no set order, there is no mandatory completion date, just the desire to visit different places and experience different things. I often see people keep adding to this list, very rarely do people remove adventures. So, start your list, start the discussion, and call us. We believe traveling is one of the most important things you can do in life. It leaves you with experiences and memories, not stuff.
